It’s About Time
Updated: Nov 24, 2020
Take two! Or 3 or 4 or … We’ve tried getting started on this blogging thing before, but clearly unsuccessfully. But 2017 is a new year, right. I’m a big TED Talk fan and there is a great one by Matt Cutts called “Try Something New for 30 Days” and here goes. Blogging for 30 Days. You and I both may be sorry I took it to heart. Well, you won’t have to read all 30 days if you don’t want to, but they’ll be here.
We’ve had quite the adventure since we wrote our first 3 drafts for this site (that were never published). Maybe I’ll use a few of those on tough writing days 🙂 The first draft was saved two years ago. Since 6/22/15, we have stayed in 131 different lodgings. Yep, you read that right, 131! Crazy? Maybe. Happy? Thoroughly! Would we do it the same way again? Sure! Will we do it again the same way? Never! As Heraclitus said, “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.” I’ll take it that the same goes for women 😉 God willing though, we will continue to have more amazing traveling adventures throughout 2017. Has it all been a bed of roses? Yes, beautiful in every way, but with some of the thorns too of course.
As I’m writing this, we are staying in Tucson and we are pet sitting for two adorable cats in a gorgeous home with stupendous views. We will get to spend time with our grown kids, Jess and Nathan who are the loves of our lives. They are our anchor and the reason we come back again and again, keeping us tied to reality in the best possible way.
Day 1 . Hold me accountable for the next 29 and if a habit is formed, I’ll be better at staying in touch.
Hugs and kisses to you all!
